Hello! My name is MJ Vincent, and I am a graduate student in the College of Education, Gender Equity in Education at Sacramento State. I am working on a research project under the supervision of Dr. Sherrie Carinci.

I am seeking participants who self-identify as:

  • Having any non-male identity, and
  • Disabled, and
  • A Faculty or staff member at a college or university
  • In Canada, the UK, or the United States

to participate in a research study that aims to illuminate how the intersection of disability, gender, and other overlapping identities impact employment within academia.

The confidential Zoom interview will be approximately 45-60 minutes and be recorded to enable auto-transcription. Participants will be offered an opportunity to verify the transcripts, and the data will be de-identified, use pseudonyms, and be destroyed upon verification.

As a member of the Sacramento State community, I acknowledge and honor the Nisenanhttps://www.nisenan.org/ peoples as traditional caretakers of the unceded land where our university resides. It is up to each of us to learn and acknowledge historical truth, to behave with honor and respect, and to not only talk about justice but to be examples of it.
