Hello, Colleagues!

My (precarious) home department, Writing, is putting together a proposal for a second-year course in writing and ethics that targets students majoring in Professional Writing. My own interest centres the ethics of representation and "speaking" (etc.) for others, especially drawing on G. Thomas Couser's work on thanatography, the assisted-suicide-note ... I could go on. I work myself on the politics of representation and examples/exemplarity, a concern which I find makes it difficult for me to write about anything. My department has asked for suggestions of videos and readings for the proposal and the fact that they are asking me suggests would be happy to receive a nudge from disability studies/theory/rhetoric; can any of you help?

Thanks,
Kate
