Dear colleagues,
We are excited to announce the official launch of the UK Disability History and Heritage Hub. This is a new organization focused on disability history and heritage. It emerged out of the “Invisible & Under-Represented? Disability History, Objects & Heritage” conference held back in March, and has been organised by a group of PGR students in the field of Disability History.

One of the things we heard from our speakers and attendees at the conference was that people felt there was a need for a disability history network, so that researchers, heritage workers, activists, artists, or whoever could connect. We thought setting up a hub to host discussions, which could also serve as a platform for our future events, would be a good idea.

You can find the website here https://clicks.eventbrite.com/f/a/RQHhcJ9E9FWUqEeec2S70A~~/AAQxAQA~/RgRkUmGdP0QmaHR0cHM6Ly91a2Rpc2hpc3RodWIubXlzdHJpa2luZ2x5LmNvbS9XA3NwY0IKYnAdLnFiDfoOn1IbdW5kZXJyZXBoaXN0b3J5MjJAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAAA , and also sign up for the reading group, which will have its first meeting on May 30th, at 17:00 BST. You will also notice we have rebranded our conference twitter account – it’s now @UKDisHistHub https://clicks.eventbrite.com/f/a/_0HC7MNs3vdbLPYXZudepg~~/AAQxAQA~/RgRkUmGdP0QgaHR0cHM6Ly90d2l0dGVyLmNvbS9VS0Rpc0hpc3RIdWJXA3NwY0IKYnAdLnFiDfoOn1IbdW5kZXJyZXBoaXN0b3J5MjJAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAAA  In the future, we’ll aim to host other events, such as socials or seminars, and hopefully another conference in the future!

Best wishes,
UKDHHH Team.
