Disability Studies at the University of Toledo is delighted to accept applications for the Disability Studies Graduate Certificate. Some spaces remain for the Fall 2022 cohort.  This four-course, fully online 12 credit Graduate Certificate is designed to:

  1.  Advance professionals employed in health care and allied fields, social service, all levels of government, public planning, education, independent living centers, compliance, human resources, and disability advocacy.
    
  2.  Enrich student preparation for professional employment in in healthcare, social service, all levels of government, public planning, education, independent living centers, compliance, human resources, and disability advocacy.
    

The curriculum:
o  Four online 3-credit courses: certified and taught by faculty trained in Quality Matters, an educational program certifying the quality of online courses and online course components.
o  Can be taken alone or alongside an additional graduate degree.
o  DST 6000 Disability Studies in Theory and Practice
o  DST 6200 Disability Culture and Representation
o  DST 6400 Disability History and Rights
o  DST 6600 Disability Ethics and Policy

Courses are taught by the award-winning faculty of Dr. Ally Day, Dr. Jim Ferris, Dr. Rebecca Monteleone, and Dr. Kim Nielsen.

Students enrolled in fully online graduate certificates at the University of Toledo, such as this, pay in-state tuition plus a small surcharge and general fees.
