The National Center for College Students with Disabilities at the University of Minnesota Announces its
Fall 2023 College Transition Series
This is a free four-part online series for families, students, K-12 educators, and everyone involved in transition to college for students with disabilities. Respected speaker and author Elizabeth Hamblet will share insights into preparing for college, understanding laws, and working with Disability Resource Centers for services and accommodations. Participants can register for any number of presentations - attendance at all the sessions is strongly suggested but not required.
All sessions are 6:30-7:30pm CT/7:30-8:30 ET
Sept 26: Preparing Students with Disabilities for Successful College Transition
Oct. 24: Understanding Shifting Laws in College Transition for Students with Disabilities
Nov. 14: College Accommodations: Why They Change and What is Commonly Available (or not)
Dec. 5: The College Disability Services System: Accommodations and Students' Responsibilities and Rights
