Me, but I’m no longer a member. The dues are set to assume employers will pay. That leaves out part-time people, disability studies faculty, and the un/underemployed.
As to the anonymity, one argument is that admin and senior university staff could retaliate if an AHEAD member critiqued their employer’s policies. A related view is that members need to get advice without saying they need advice because needing or even wanting advice can be stigmatized as an expression of ignorance or insecurity.
