Subject: Sharing a Breakdown-Role of CHICK WEBB in "Ella" (A Theatre Workshop in New York City)

Hi and Happy almost 4th!

Tara Rubin Casting (Broadway credits include Dear Evan Hansen, Six, Phantom of the Opera, Aladdin...to name a few!) is currently casting a theatre workshop-Ella, which tells the story of Ella Fitzgerald, and they are seeking an actor for the role of CHICK WEBBhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chick_Webb.

Chick Webb was Ella's drummer and he was a Black man of short stature (4'0.") Maintaining historical accuracy is of paramount importance to this team, specifically casting someone who identifies as a little person.

No acting experience is needed (a plus but by no means a must), and similarly musicality (singing and/or drumming ability) a plus but by no means a must. and the team is open to talent based anywhere (the workshop noted will be held in NYC but the show has big plans that involve a regional run before hopefully heading to Broadway.)

Please spread the word however you see fit-and if you, or anyone you know is a fit, PLEASE submit to ELLASUBMISSIONS@GMAIL.COMmailto:ELLASUBMISSIONS@GMAIL.COM (CC on this email as well.)

Here to answer any questions you may have, and thank you!
