Navigating Disclosure and Accommodations In The Workplace webinar December 15

MEDIA RELEASE

Navigating Disclosure and Accommodations In The Workplace

Join the National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) on December 15th from 12:00-1:30pm ET via Zoom for a conversation on navigating disclosure and accommodations!

In our latest Virtual Access 4 All Webinar, NEADS' Research Consultant Elizabeth Mohler and Ontario Chamber of Commerce's Business Development Manager Lisa Kelly will share some of their own experiences and learnings about disclosure in the workplace, drawing from their lived experiences of disability throughout their careers.

Disability disclosure, or telling someone that you have a disability, can affect your job search, your employment, and how you feel about your work. The decision of if to disclose and when is personal and not always understood. About 60% of people with disabilities report that they are unwilling to disclose any information related to a disability – usually for fear of negative consequences.

Closed captioning and ASL interpretation will be provided. Registration is required – please register herehttps://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZMtcemqrT0vEt09HJEEMU3tIxlOeYL0Nzh-. This event is a feature of our Virtual Access for All webinar series, which is generously supported by Employment and Social Development Canada's Supports for Student Learning Program. For further information and/or to discuss access needs, please contact Elizabeth at elizabeth.mohler@neads.ca
