The National Center for College Students with Disabilities (NCCSD) is pleased to announce hiring for three positions:  Associate Director, Coordinator of the DREAM student group, and a Graduate Research Associate.  Brief summaries of each position are below.  Full descriptions and application details are at https://www.dreamcollegedisability.org/2024-job-postings.html.  Applications for all positions are due March 22, 2024.  Questions should be directed to Wendy Harbour at the NCCSD: 651-583-7499 (for VideoPhone and phone calls) or through texting 704-707-5886.  Applicants may also use email (wendy@ahead.orgmailto:wendy@ahead.org), but due to the volume of emails the NCCSD receives, calling or texting will currently get the most timely reply.

Associate Director
The new NCCSD Associate Director of Rehabilitation Services Outreach will assist the NCCSD in providing technical assistance and outreach to rehabilitation services professionals, with a focus on the transition of people with disabilities into higher education -- especially high school students with disabilities.  Congress and the U.S. Department of Education have asked the NCCSD to provide educational resources for professionals in the field of vocational rehabilitation and Individual Plan for Employment (IPE) teams.  The Associate Director will also respond to technical assistance questions related to vocational rehabilitation services for future and current college students with disabilities. The person for this position will have a budget and may also plan events, programming, publications, presentations, online training, or other educational materials in collaboration with the NCCSD.  This position is full-time with benefits.

DREAM Coordinator
The NCCSD advises and funds a national student group called Disability Rights, Education, Activism, and Mentoring (DREAM).  DREAM is designed to be an online disability cultural center open to students with disabilities and their allies.  DREAM currently has a website (www.DREAMCollegeDisability.orghttp://www.DREAMCollegeDisability.org), ongoing activities, nearly 70 campus chapters and affiliates across the country, and a student board that guides decisions about DREAM's activities.  We are seeking a new half-time DREAM Coordinator.  The DREAM Coordinator may be a current graduate or professional student or an alum with a graduate or professional degree.  The position is 20 hours/week without benefits.

Graduate Research Associate
The NCCSD would like to build on our history of working with Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) to set up an MSI Consortium of disability services providers and researchers, creating a network of people with expertise in providing culturally responsive services to disabled students in higher education. This project is inspired by the HBCU Disability Consortium (https://hbcudisabilityconsortium.org/), but will be adapted to meet the needs of participants. The Graduate Research Associate must be a current graduate or professional student with experience conducting research, as well as attending or working with MSIs.  The position is 20 hours/week without benefits.

Thank you,
Wendy Harbour
