Colonial legacies fuel unfair practices in African research

A new article on SciDevNet argues that Africa's data science ecosystem could drive innovation if research inequities are addressed.

The article also suggests that clear authorship guideline and proper acknowledgement of data generators must be adopted, and that foreign researchers in Africa must stop extracting data without acknowledging local researchers.
