Hello!
My name is Amanda and I’m a school psychology PhD candidate conducting research on college students with learning disabilities. As a former undergraduate with a learning disability, I am passionate about educational equity for our community. I have a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Learning Studies and am now studying to become a licensed psychologist to best serve the needs of students with learning disabilities. My research project seeks to explore the adjustment, coping, and stress of students with learning disabilities. With the information I gather from student respondents (like you!), I hope to gain a better understanding of how schools are supporting students like us, what’s working, and what needs improvement. Now here’s where you come in: I’m hoping to recruit students from different schools across the country with different experiences. I'm hoping to hear from about 70 more students in the next few weeks.
Your involvement is simple! To participate, you’ll just need to fill out a 30-45 minute online survey asking about your experiences. You’ll answer the questions on Likert scales or a true/false basis. All your responses will be kept confidential - no one at your school will know what you said, or even if you chose to participate. ANY current students or graduates from the class of 2023 with learning disabilities are eligible - feel free to spread the word!
