Hello everyone,

My name is Sam Legreaux and I am a graduate student at Miami University of
Ohio. I am currently finishing up the collection of data for my thesis
survey and need your help with feedback as well as some assistance with
distributing it to any networks that you know or any campuses that you feel
will allow for the distribution through email. I have approximately 144
individuals that have participated and need about 6 more to go. I am hoping
to get at least 150 people. I am so close!!! I would like your help to
provide feedback on my survey. If you have any networks that you know of
that you may be able to point me in the right direction, I would greatly
appreciate it. Just send me an email.

Some background information: My thesis involves understanding
self-determination, self-efficacy and the barriers that individuals with
disabilities may face when participating in physical activity. I am seeking
individuals that are 18 and older who identify as having a disability to
complete this survey so I can communicate with fitness centers on ways to
better implement inclusivity in their facilities.

Below is a link to the survey along with the email, I would greatly
appreciate your word of mouth and assistance with circulating the survey.

Dear potential participant,

Your information is important to us! Researchers at Miami University of
Ohio are interested in understanding the barriers that come into play for
individuals with disabilities when participating in physical activity. In
order to participate in this survey, you must meet the inclusion criteria
which consists of: being 18-30 years old and identifying with physical,
vision, hearing, psychiatric, medical, neurological, autism spectrum,
ADHD, learning
disabilities and cognitive disabilities. We are seeking volunteers to take
an online survey
addressing self-efficacy (belief in your ability to accomplish a task),
self-determination (your inner and outer motivations to complete tasks),
and the barriers that may prohibit physical activity. The survey will take
approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. You may skip any questions that
you would like. Your information is important to us. Your name will never
be tied to your responses. There is no penalty for not participating. If
you choose to participate, you will be entered into a drawing for a $25
gift card. The odds
of receiving the gift card are 6 out of 150. We anticipate that there will
be a total of 150 participants.
