Hello colleagues, fellow singers, and friends,

People who have dementia get a ton of dis-abling messages about their lives, abilities and futures. We're working to change that--while having fun!

Please join me in recording a song with Reimagining Dementia: A Creative Coalition for Justice. We'll be recording with participants around the world on September 13 and 14. Anyone can participate--no special ability required! If you don't want to sing, you can make or create some art, a sign, or just move.

If September 13 or 14 don't work for you, you can create an individual video of you and/or others singing/moving to the song (in any language).
Details on how to sign up are below.

Please forward this message to your networks. If you run an online newsletter, please include this announcement.

Dates:

Monday, September 13, 12pm ET (singing)

Monday, September 13, 6pm ET (movement)

Tuesday, September 14 11am ET (singing)

Tuesday, September 14, 6pm ET (singing)

To register – and to let us know if you would like to participate in other ways – click herehttps://docs.google.com/forms/d/1RVm6OOa5FCQlu1bw4YNwQdNUV-Ucq18hdQv7mVaYRho/edit. Please use this website to assist with time conversion to your local time zone if it is not listed above: https://www.thetimezoneconverter.com/.

Please respond if you can no later than August 20. If you are interested in creating videos or submitting photos, art, etc., we will follow up with simple instructions. However, please know that if you want to create your own video, you will receive the song as close to September 10 as possible and we will need to receive the video by no later than September 17.

We look forward to seeing you in September!

Warmly,

Margaret Oldfield
